![]() ![]() Evanovich fans will find this audio funny and festive, down to the plum-colored CDs. ![]() King has fun with his stuttering attempts to make conversation in front of Jet, whom he adores from across the street. King does better with an overcaffeinated butcher, who comes to life only on the topic of sirloin. Other reappearing characters, like Lula and Plum's family, make cameo appearances, leaving room for some newbies, including a lovelorn vet, who sounds a bit too dumb to have ever gotten though school. Janet Evanovich is the 1 New York Times bestselling author of the Stephanie Plum series, the Lizzy and Diesel series, twelve romance novels, the Alexandra Barnaby novels and Trouble Maker graphic novel, and How I Write: Secrets of a Bestselling Author, as well as the Fox and O'Hare series with co-author Lee Goldberg. He sounds more like the tranny Sally on testosterone than like Morelli and Ranger, the curiously absent macho men in Stephanie's life. Lorelei King, who has brought out the best in this series, plays Diesel with aplomb. Her sidekick for this adventure is Diesel, who appeared briefly in previous "Between-the-Numbers" novellas. Though Plum is at the center of this novella, the elusive quarry is love, not for herself but for the lonely hearts she must fix up by Valentine's Day. Evanovich turns out novels faster than her bounty hunter, Stephanie Plum, downs doughnuts, and that's pretty quick. ![]()

My children love when I read this book to them. ![]() This is also an excellent way to teach math to children with SLD. Parents and teachers can discuss why Zero felt lonely and how brave he had to be to leap into the tree and find his place. This book is great for children that feel they don’t have a place or a voice in the classroom or their lives. I would recommend Chicka Chicka 1.2.3 to teachers and parents of children who have low-self-esteem and experience loneliness. He leaped into the tree and landed on top of the tree, joining 10. All the numbers came running down accept the number 10 who was waiting for Zero to take his place next to him. Then the bumbles came and shouted for all the numbers 1-99 to get out their tree. Once all the numbers 1-99 were up the tree Zero begins to cry feeling that he has no place in the tree. As he asked the other numbers “Will there be a place for me?” no one responds to him. He sits on the side of the tree and watches the other numbers 1-99 go up the tree. Zero is a little number who tries to find his place with the other numbers. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() All orders are dispatched as swiftly as possible! Buy with confidence! Not only was I hurting and scared for him at times but his dominant passion was fanning my own flames. To me, that's a sign of a great author - involving my emotions. And I continue to be obsessed with this series. The overarching story continues as the Psy counsel goes through some dramatic changes. Judd from book 3 continues to be a favorite of mine and his magic TK skills show up in this one. As Hawke deals with the problems, favorites from previous books join the story. ![]() All the while these two are dancing around each other, there is someone threatening the Snow Dancers. He doesn't try to change who he is to better appeal to Indigo, instead he uses his strengths and patience to convince her to give them a shot. The pack tracker and more importantly the eyes and ears of the alpha, charming Drew is used to getting what he wants. And it took a lot to get her to consider she was wrong. Her own family experience had taught her such pairing would never work. She dismissed Drew from a possible lover because of his age and his less dominance in the pack hierarchy. ![]() A strong character, she's a great lieutenant for Snow Dancer pack but she can be mean. I finally liked Mercy in book 6 but it took a while. ![]() I wasn't sure I was going to like this one. ![]() ![]() As a result, her character doesn’t really develop at all, which for me is one of the most chilling aspects of the story. She becomes obsessed with the number of followers she has, her ranking among The Circle’s ten thousand employees and is unable to understand why some people do not want to share everything online. ![]() The Internet is probably the most significant invention of recent decades and is developing faster than we know how to deal with the far-reaching consequences. As a dystopian novel set in a non-specified period of time in the future, much of Mae’s behaviour in ‘The Circle’ is already highly recognisable. Although Mae is impressed by what she finds there, the wider implications of how the company is developing soon become apparent. It tells the story of Mae Holland, a twenty-something graduate who starts a new job at The Circle – a social media conglomerate the size and power of Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft and every other major tech company combined. After battling my way through ‘ The Luminaries‘ by Eleanor Catton recently, I wanted to read something which was the absolute polar opposite of historical fiction and settled on ‘The Circle’ by Dave Eggers. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() She decides to leave England before she becomes a cynic and embark on a trip to see all the ancient cities that her father studied.
